Remember how much milk we drank when we were kids? Now they drink soda! Yuck. This article just came across the Watkins hotline. I’d like to share it with you.

An article in the Health Day News (10/26/2009) states that a new study finds that over 6 million American children are getting too little of vitamin D. “There are a lot of studies demonstrating associations between low levels of vitamin D and a laundry list of poor health outcomes,” noted lead researcher Dr. Jonathan Mansbach, an assistant professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and a pediatrician at Children’s Hospital Boston.

Make sure your child has enough vitamin D. Watkins Children’s Chewable contains 400 to 200 IU of this essential vitamin. Along with giving children’s bodies vitamin D, it contains more vitamins and minerals than the leading brands. Not just in number, but in potency. Watkins Children’s Chewable is naturally sweetened with pure fruit sugar; contains no sucrose (table sugar) or aspartame, as found in leading brands.

Hear what other consumers have to say about Watkins Children’s Chewable:

“My 8-year old daughter used to have ear infections every month. Since using Watkins Children’s Chewables, she no longer has ear infections and has missed no days of school from illness. We use many of Watkins dietary supplements, and it’s the best health insurance investment we’ve ever made.”
— Laurie Bird, Arizona

“My daughter had been struggling in school; she couldn’t focus and her grades were falling. Her teacher thought she had attention deficit disorder. I started giving her Watkins Children’s Chewable, and in two weeks her teacher said, ‘Whatever you are doing…keep it up.’ She finished the year with straight A’s.”
— Tawny Dawson, Pennsylvania

Don’t let this happen to your kids. Purchase Watkins Children’s Chewable Vitamins from the link on the right. “Buy Watkins” – Protect your kids – Associate 383996

We had a chilly weekend, it was later in the day (good soup needs a day!) and we were so wanting soup. Well, I pulled out my Watkins Baked Potato Soup Mix. Hmmm – this could be good! I had leftover browned potatoes and carrots from a roast, I added them, used fat free milk and it was a definite OMG moment! Quick, economical and good for you! Not to mention I got to use up veggies.

Stock up on it today, while you’re at it – get the Onion Soup too. You’ll think you’re in a French Bistro!

Click on the “Buy Watkins” link to the right. Associate 383996 – off for more soup!

Well, I know I was going to tell you about the 2009 Seasonal Assortment – but first I must tell you what happened last night. I was weeding the flower beds – beds I’ve had for a very long time, when one stubborn weed just wouldn’t come out. I yanked, yanked, yanked – then an overwhelming buzz came over me. Ouch! Ouch! I was being stung by what felt like a million bees! I ran towards the house screaming, “help me, help me” – my poor husband came flying out of the house – I’m batting at my head, stamping my feet – yelling, “get the hose, please – hose me off!” Well, my husband, who’s had cancer and only has one lung moved like the wind and was hosing me off – I’m still screaming, ripping off my clothes (not necessarily a good thing) and trying to get the bees out of my hair – when I hear my husband going into a breathing attack! Horrible! I’m upside-down under a stream of water telling my husband to breathe through his nose, trying to get his breathing under control, finally – it’s working. What a mess we are! Anyway – I’m on fire – crying my eyes out – the worst pain I’ve ever felt (I’ve had three sons all by natural childbirth too!) I can’t take it!!! I found 7 stings on my body and one in my head. Okay, I’m becoming calm – but those stings were like jabbing fire! My husband, the man who saved my life, says “put this on it” – this was Watkins Petro-Carbon Salve. I’m like, “what? I’m dying here” he said, “trust me.” How can I not trust the man who saved my life? I open the tin, get some of that grease on my finger and gently dab it on the spots. Wait, what just happened? It’s going away?!? I’m telling you, swear to God – the pain went away. I was amazed. Totally. I still have some swelling but that pain is gone. I know I’ve recommended products in the past, but you seriously can’t go wrong with this. Click on the “buy Watkins” link and get some, it’s worth the $ 4.99!

One of my most favorite things is waiting for my Watkins order to come. I tear into it. Somehow the pleasure of just getting a package in the mail is a real thrill. I truly love opening that box and physically seeing each new thing. I’m making a point of ordering new and different things every month just to learn and explore. I’ve never been disappointed! I keep reordering the BBQ sauce! I’m a BBQ lover and that sauce is fan-tastic! Every spice is so pure, so fresh, so natural. You know – I am a big believer in healthy cooking and to take those seasonings and sprinkle them on fresh vegetables and steam them – yum!

Every month new items are featured at discounted prices and in this economy, any discount is welcome. I try to get as many as I can, just so I can pass on my findings to you. I love to talk Watkins too! This summer as we have people over to enjoy the pool and great conversations, I can’t wait to let everyone know about the dips they’re eating, the lemon mousse they’re raving about, the lemony cream that keeps my skin so moist. It’s a joy!

I hope you feel my enthusiasm and realize that the Watkins way of life is not only a way to enjoy healthy, natural products, but it’s a way to share secrets to the good life with your friends. Of course having the extra dollars in my pocket from sales is a bonus!

Merry Christmas! Barb Haas – Independent Watkins Associate #383996!
