Okay, I live in Pittsburgh – always have. I’ve experienced the blizzard of ‘77, the blizzard of ‘93 – and now the 2010 Armageddon. We had 23″ last week and now another 10″. Why am I surprised? It’s the northeast, it’s winter – there will be snow!
We are supremely lucky – haven’t lost power, internet or satellite, we’re all home safe and snug with plenty of food & water, many of our neighbors aren’t as lucky.
One thing we didn’t have, don’t laugh – ice cream!!! Luckily, the snow provided us with the perfect base for making something special – Snow Ice Cream!!! I actually looked it up online for a recipe. Here goes:
Take 1 full bowl of fresh snow (8 Cups) add one can of sweetened condensed milk and 1T Watkins Vanilla. Mix and serve! You can’t believe how good this tastes – it’s better than ice cream. My family went crazy and I’ve had to make batch after batch. Okay, I didn’t know how many cans of sweetened condensed milk I had! Abandoned Christmas cookie recipes for sure! I made a variation last night – 1T Watkins Hazelnut flavoring. It was even better!
I think what makes this really good is the quality of the flavorings – Watkins has the absolute best, because they use the absolute best. When life gives you snow – make ice cream! Click on the “Buy Watkins” link to your right – I’m associate 383996, happy eating!

I love soup. It’s like a big warm hug on a cold day. I love that Seinfeld episode where the store won’t sell you soup unless you behave – Elaine just couldn’t get it… “No soup for you!”
We had a chilly weekend, it was later in the day (good soup needs a day!) and we were so wanting soup. Well, I pulled out my Watkins Baked Potato Soup Mix. Hmmm – this could be good! I had leftover browned potatoes and carrots from a roast, I added them, used fat free milk and it was a definite OMG moment! Quick, economical and good for you! Not to mention I got to use up veggies.
Stock up on it today, while you’re at it – get the Onion Soup too. You’ll think you’re in a French Bistro!

Okay, now I know I’m always blogging about Watkins – it’s true. I believe in the company and I believe in The Summit Group, which operates the sales force. The Summit Group is making a tremendous offer to those who have been thinking about joining – it’s the cherry on the sundae – an exciting FREE training program. This program is usually offered for $139 – but if you join in October – it’s FREE. I’ll say it again, if you join Watkins during October, you’ll get all of the usual benefits of being an associate, and all the free training and support our team offers. But even better, right now you can get our $139 set of training CDs from our recent conference for free (you just pay $9.95 for shipping and handling). It’s almost eight hours of extra training you can listen to in your car, at home, on your computer, or transfer to your MP3 player. This can help you earn income with our team faster than ever before, especially since we’re currently in our most productive time of year. Between your membership ($39.95, Club Watkins!) and the training set, you get almost $180 value for less than $50. Would you like me to help you get started?
I’ve been using all the products from the Seasonal Assortment – they’re excellent! You’ve read about the pumpkin butter, the gift sets, lip tints – everything – and you can join the club before the holidays – training thrown in for free.
Click on the link to the left “Sell Watkins” – we’ll get you started on becoming healthy, wealthy and GREEN!

Hi Barb! Yeah, I’m going to have to admit it. I LOVE food. Live to eat vs eat to live. I spend about 75% of my waking hours thinking about what I’m going to eat, when I’m going to eat – it’s crazy! Luckily – I’m a healthy eater. I can make the most wonderful, clean, nutritious meals – it’s no wonder I love food. I’m an excellent cook! Last night we had company and my husband went to town, wings, poppers, fries, weenies wrapped in bacon – what?!? Where’s the salad? Where are my healthy green vegetables? I told our company that my husband was very happy they came as he doesn’t get the chance to eat like that… So, I waited until everyone was done and snuck into the kitchen to make something I wanted to eat. I made a delicious, creamy polenta and to season it I added Watkin’s Organic Chicken Seasoning, so good! I went out to the garden, picked a zucchini and a green pepper – sliced them up and sauteed them in olive oil with a little Watkin’s Garlic Liquid Spice then when they were properly carmelized served them in a bowl over the polenta. I know I’ve mentioned that I’m losing weight – 40 lbs so far, and it’s amazing to me that I can eat so much and still lose weight. You have to make a committment to yourself to get healthy. Be a food addict like me! Take a minute to go to the “buy Watkins” link on the right, don’t forget – Independent Associate #383996!

I don’t know about you but, because I can, I log in to my bank account daily. I’m afraid I’m not a traditional “balancer.” I look, think about what’s coming out – then determine what’s left and go from there. Every now and then I think about making spreadsheets, being more proactive vs. reactive – but, then I don’t. Oh well.
Today, a surprise! Watkins put money in my account! I didn’t even remember that it was coming! Through the month, my mother had a Living Naturally Party and her friends went wild over it! Mom even had others call her after the party was over to add orders. That kind of excitement was enough for me. I had totally forgotten that I was making money too!
Having people be interested in the products, the memories they invoke and the excitement generated from the new items is contagious. Word spread through Mom’s neighborhood and she’s having another party this month. She even has some of her friends just logging on to the website and making their own purchases!
I guess I’ll have another surprise next month! If you’re interested in having your own surprise, click on the “sell Watkins” link – go ahead, have the life you deserve…

I have a confession – sometimes I’m a lazy cook. It’s true. Creative, but sometimes – just not into it. Last night I was SO tired and faced with making dinner when I really wanted to be floating in the pool, what to do?
Here’s what I did – I spiced it UP!! I made pan-fried green beans and used Watkins Liquid Garlic with Watkins Pepper and Sea Salt – then I microwaved (yes, I did…) baked potatoes and topped them with leftover Watkins Crab Snack Dip from a party we had this weekend, threw Ribeye steaks on the grill, seasoned them with the Watkins Organic Beef Seasoning – then served them with Watkins Steak Sauce!! Everything was ready in less than :30 minutes and the flavors just exploded! It was one of the best dinners ever.
You can pull this off too! Just visit the new Watkins site (links are on the right!) and see all the products just waiting to spice up your life! Remember, we’re Independent Associates #383996.
Oh, and if you see my family around – don’t tell them about me being lazy, it’s our secret!
Thanks!
