All Purpose – What does that mean?
First of all, who wouldn’t want to be categorized as “all-purpose” – you would be all things to all people. Well, since I’m a Mom – I think I’m “all-purpose”.
Watkins has an All Purpose cleaner – part of their Living Naturally line, it’s made with: Purified Water; Coconut-based surfactant; Natural Lavendar; and Rosemary Oil. That’s it! In comparison, I pulled up a data sheet on Formula 409 (what I used to use) and here is the second ingredient: ETHYLENE OXIDE (SUSPECTED 2A HUMAN CARCINOGEN BY IARC; CONFIRMED ANIMAL CARINOGEN BY IARC & NTP) — What?!? Human Carcinogen? Animal Carcinogen? What would our dog Achilles think of this? Now I don’t know who IARC is, but if they suspect it’s bad – it probably is. The data sheet also explains that safety goggles and proper ventilation should be maintained during use.
